You can create a dispenser without using a bow. Just do the recipe of the dispenser (middle: bow, under-middle: redstonedust, and fill the rest in with cobble). Now remove the bow, and you can still create a dispenser!

I only tested this for Dispenser, don't know if it also glitches for other items.
