Beds (red beds) that are placed anywhere in your world before you update to 1.12 turns invisible when you are playing in 1.12 already. They remain invisible unless you render them by going onto spectator mode and drawing your cursor towards it's hitbox, or by breaking them and replacing with another bed. This occured in the snapshot phases of 1.12 when colored beds were added.
