Since 16w33a, it is not possible to place signs with NBT data - the data is lost on placement.
What I expected to happen was...:
Copying a sign with text via Ctrl+Middle Click (Pick Block) adds it to my inventory with NBT data. Upon placing that sign, the text should be there.
What actually happened was...:
Upon placing a sign with NBT data, the screen to add text to a new sign appears. Pressing DONE will create a blank sign.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a sign and put text on it.
2. Ctrl+Pick (Middle-Click) the sign. It will be added to your inventory. Note the (+NBT) tag on the sign's lore.
3. Place the NBT sign. Notice that it places as if it were a new sign.
