When selecting a modified chest/command block/etc. (e.g. a stone sword placed in a chest, "/say hi" entered into a command block) using "ctrl+Pick Block", the block that appears in one's inventory has NBT data that corresponds with the modifications done to the block.
I have a Logitech M705 mouse that has two extra buttons: "Button 4" and "Button 5". "Pick Block" is set to "Button 3" as the default, but I switched my "Pick Block" button to "Button 4" for ease of access. The problem is that now when I attempt to use "ctrl+Pick Block" in order to copy NBT data, no new block appears in my inventory and I am not switched to another block.
Picking a block without copying its NBT data works using "Button 4".
Having the "Pick Block" button set to practically any other key/button, including my extra "Button 5", still allows the copying of NBT data. This seems to be exclusively an issue with "Button 4".
I have not tried to recreate this using a mouse that has extra buttons other than the Logitech M705.
In order to replicate this issue, one must use a mouse with at least one extra button.
1. Switch "Pick Block" key to "Button 4"
2. Hold "ctrl" and press "Button 4" on a block that has been modified (e.g. "/say hi" entered into a command block) in order to copy block with NBT data.
