So this scenario is this: me and my friend were having a minecraft lan party and I had to repair my helmet so I wanted to go the end through our nether portal system. So I wanted to easily go up and through the portal so I tried throwing an ender pearl from the small hole to the ground but instead it teleported me a long distance away.. I'm not sure whether this is considered a bug or intended feature but I've never seen it before. Thus I got no idea if someone reported this all ready and under what name it can be reported.
A little while after I made this reported I found out what the game is trying to do, the coordinates where it teleports me to in the nether are the coordinates of the portal in the overworld where the nether portal is connected to.
Anyway since I can't proof this with a bunch of screenshots I recorded it with two different portals but same scenario
