Sound doesn't always work when minecraft is started. Takes several restarts for sound to work. And also minecraft doesn't change the output when you change the default sound output. Like for example when i plug in my USB connected headset and then change in the settings default output device to the headset it still plays it in my laptops speakers. Takes several restarts for sound to work.
