I'm having a lighting problem in Minecraft. I was walking threw caves placing torches and I noticed a lighting bug. When I place torches near a chunk border, the chunk in which the torch is placed lights up normaly, however the adjacent chunk remains pich black. When a block-update occurs in this chunk, the chunk gets a normal lighting effect. I have smooth lighting activated, and am playing on brightnes: bright.
I am playing on a server. I don't know if that could be the problem. I'm using Spingot 1.9 server version.

I expected to see a normal torchlight fading effect.

The surrounding chunks tuned pich black

      1. The simplest way to reprocuce this bug is to walk thew caves and start placing torches allover.
      2. When the bug occurs you start breaking the blocks in the dark chunk to create a block-update and fix the lightingbug.
