BDS 1.16.1 on Ubuntu 18.04
-
Unconfirmed
Spawn rates and distanceson Bedrock dedicated server in the Nether are extreme.
Server is on hard difficulty
Examples:
- within close proximity of the player there are always 4-5 ghasts present. When a ghast is killed, immediately a new one is spawned in close proximity of the user, so the player ends up in a constant battle to keep the amount of ghasts down and can't do anything else other then fleeing.
- In nether fortress continues spawn of groups of wither skeletons combined with groups of blazes in close proximity of the player. when the player killed the group 5-6 wither skeletons/blazes. immediately a new groups spawns (or have already spawned), basically leaving the player pinpointed with his back to the wall, constantly fighting off the mobs and unable to flee due to the small corridors of the nether fortresses.
For all spawns in the nether counts: spawns happen in close proximity of the player. They spawn within the about 2 chunks of a player. The spawning is clearly visible to the player and since close to the player almost immediately go into attack mode.
The extreme close distance for spawning and the amount of spawned mobs, make it very difficult for a single player to enter the nether.
Please note that this is on hard difficulty on BDS. We have not played with other difficulty levels, nor on stand-alone client worlds, so no info on that.
I'm not sure whether the level of difficulty in the nether has been raised intentionally or whether this is a bug. In the previous version it was less extreme on the same difficulty level.
