I had eliminated all the horde of the hunt's bases and outposts except for one tier 3 base, but when i destroyed the portal, it showed the cutscene of the boss coming out of the portal, but since some of my troops didn't get moved away. the game didn't make the portal invincible immediately, the portal was destroyed and I didn't need to fight the boss
