The launcher works fine on, well, on launch and launches Minecraft without any issues. I have encountered two issues with the launcher since I installed Minecraft one week ago:

1. If the "Keep launcher open while game is running" is disabled, and I exit Minecraft, the launcher doesn't reload (I don't know whether it should or not), and then proceeds to report an error when I shut my computer down.
2. If the "Keep launcher open while game is running" is enabled, once I exit Minecraft it doesn't respond to any actions, then proceeds to crash and report an error. I will attach a screenshot of this error.

This doesn't make the game unable to play, it's just annoying, especially if I intend to return to the game momentarily.
