Issue when installing Minecraft

When installing Minecraft, there is an error saying "installation must be on a local hard drive." This occurs with other .msi installers in Windows 10.

It can be fixed by using msiexec /i in command prompt. But, using msiexec /i causes issues in the installation, leading to errors when launching Minecraft. The normal "An unexpected error has occurred..." screen shows up. No errors in the logs, and there is no fix.

It's been reported as an error here/attached image on a post on the Minecraft reddit. Dinnerbone is asking for help testing the new launcher, and someone points out this issue. They were able to use msiexec /i without any issues.

One fix (not ideal): Open command prompt as an administrator. Use the command msiexec /i "(minecraft installer location, e.g. C:\Users(your user)\Downloads\Minecraft Installer)". Run through the installation like normal. Download the legacy launcher here (second option) and use that to run Minecraft.
