The new launcher works fine using the 10.6.1 format. However, it will not allow me to successfully launch a new profile using the previous (10.5.1/10.5.2) unmodded versions of minecraft.
Want to use the older version to access pvp servers still running 10.5.2; unable to find the 'old' launcher on Mojang site.
When trying to launch an alternate profile that specifies one of the previous versions of minecraft it crashes. A blank (black) screen appears, then disappears and an error message is received. The Development Console window then displays the following error text:
Client> Client asked for parameter: server
Client> 2013-07-01 19:27:54 [CLIENT] [INFO] LWJGL Version: 2.9.0

2. Attempt to play using that profile
3. Window (blank) appears.
