The new launcher doesn't recognize game directories other than "minecraft" well. This manifests in two ways.

      1) When I have anything else as the directory .e.g. /Users/andrew/LibraryApplication Support/mc-1_10_2-RF and I click the "Go to folder" button the system says: "Could not open the game directory. Please make sue the folder path is valid: /Users/andrew/Lirary/Application Support/mc-1_10_2-RF". I'm not sure what "valid" means here, because you don't say, but I'm assuming that it means the path exists. It does because I just browsed to it and selected. And the last launcher liked it just fine

      2) If I do start this game, the "Minecraft Game Output" never gets populated with anything, even though the game is running. I suspect this is related to the above problem in that the log piece of code if failing on the same error.

All this used to work fine, now with the "upgraded launcher" it doesn't work. I have multiple computers in my house that have MC and some won't play. I suspect there would be something interesting to see in the log window, but since it doesn't show anything, I can't tell.
