I've had this problem ever since the launcher update. When I click on the play button on the launcher, it will sometimes work properly and start the game, but other times it will just shut down. When this happens, it will sometimes start the game but it won't work (as seen in the video I'll include at the end), or the game won't start at all.
The problem is that once the launcher shuts down, it will simply not let me start it again at all until I restart my pc (also seen in the video). Even if I restart my pc, sometimes I'll get the error the first time I try starting the game and I'll have to restart it again. I have had to restart my pc up to 4 times in a row just to be able to play the game.
I had never had any problem similar to this prior to the launcher update
There's no crash report when this happens
I have updated java and reinstalled minecraft
Whether or not this occurs seems to be completely random

I would really appreciate some help. If you need any more information just tell me what and how to get it
