This is a problem with the old and new version of the Minecraft launcher. Although the feature has been available to everyone, no-one has been able to change the minecraft directory to somewhere other than the %appdata% folder. I made a batch file to start minecraft from a custom folder and store its directories there, but with the new launcher, I'm unable to select custom mod versions such as optifine and run shaders with minecraft. Please implemenet the option to install minecraft in a custom directory.
