I have tried to delete .minecraft folder, disabled my Anti-virus and Firewall, and restarting my PC several times.
I tried to create a folder named "17" in the .minecraft\assets\objects folder, as I noticed that the folder "17" does not exist in there. But when I rename the "New Folder" to "17", it doesn't allow me to do that. It says "Error 0x80070103: No more data is available."
And so I thought that there was not enough space in my hard disk, so I created the New Folder. didn't rename it to "17", and placed a 10kb text file into the New Folder. This time, nothing popped out. It allowed me to place that file into the folder, but not rename a simple folder to "17".
strong*P.S , this happens only when I set my profile version to 1.2.5. Same goes for some old versions like 1.3.2, 1.5.1, 1.6.4. Technically, this happens to Minecraft version 1.7.2 AND below.*strong
