Attempted to open game from launcher, game failed to open and forced itself closed with the following information given:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Launcher.
2. Select Profile - default settings.
3. Press play.
Can provide entire crash log, but reluctant to do so in an open post.
It is entirely possible that I just missed some major update that means you have to change something, as I have been on hiatus from Minecraft for close to five+ months.
