When launching versions of Minecraft from Alpha ~1.2 onwards, the game is apparently being launched with the 'Game Directory' option being ignored. It will, in versions prior to release-1.2.1, launch correctly, but on later versions will always launch with the Minecraft directory apparently set as %appdata%\Roaming\.minecraft . I have checked the development console and it reports to be launching in my preferred directory, though it is only allowing me to access worlds in my normal .\saves\ directory. I have confirmed the existence of the custom directories I have attempted to launch with. This mainly causes problems with saves, though it has caused issues with modded versions I have (which I know are not dealt with by Mojang).
What I expected to happen was...:
Game launch with directory set to what I set it as.
What actually happened was...:
Game launch with standard directory.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a profile with a new version of Minecraft
2. Set game directory and ensure it is enabled
3. Launch game
