Changing the current version to play or changing the version of a new installation doesn't work, the version stays as the latest minecraft version. This is a problem with the AUR launcher and i've also tried it on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (with openjdk-21) with the .deb package from the minecraft downloads page and still had a similar problem. This problem arises on an Xorg session of Gnome. On a wayland session I can change the version to play, but the drop down menu for selecting version of a new installation appears broken
