Minecraft Launcher creates a log file that exponentially grows, getting into the 10's of gigabytes very quickly.

I've included a log file it made in just a few minutes and screenshots to show the size of the files generated.

I believe this is an issue with minecraft repeatedly querying a URL that is blocked by my network. It is worrying that it can create infinitely large log files, this is a serious bug.
