I have been trying to run minecraft for the last couple months but was unable to get it working because of this same problem in different variations of "failed to download file".

Example:

I have done absolutely everything I can think of and found online to fix this but nothing works. I have tried downloading from the URL and placing it in the correct folder. I have changed my firewall to let minecraft launcher not interfere. I have no clue how to fix this, please help.
