Every time I run the launcher, it immediately starts downloading an "update" even though it is the latest version. Once the download is complete, it then appears to do exactly the same again.

Cancelling the first download causes the launcher to quit (process terminates).

Cancelling the second download allows the launcher to run.

Looks like it's trying to downgrade itself, but requests the most recent version, and then, confused by its own error, tries again, before eventually relenting and starting the launcher.

I have looked in the Settings section and there does not appear to be anywhere to set anything to do with updates, so it is not clear what the launcher is expecting to find in those two .json files.
