So, I'm one of those "weirdos" who likes Bedrock far more than Java. I ALWAYS play it for Vanilla, and Keep Java on the back burner for when I want to play with big mods. Today, I felt like playing a mod pack and booted it up. I had to some mod updates to install so I went and did so, boopted up the game, and found that Forge had an update. Went to install it, but stopped and booted the modpack back up to check which version it wanted, only for my entire PC to suddenly reboot. No Blue Screen, no errors, just a reboot as if I hit the restart button. I then logged back in, and the installation was gone. I recreated it and booted the modpack up, it restarted my PC again. I then decided to test vanilla Java. First time I booted it up, it started just fine, I closed out and opened it again, and it restarted my PC. with VANILLA, UNMODDED, JAVA EDITION. The launcher seems to be attempting to access data the PC considers inaccessible, and forces a reboot in an attempt to save itself from an attack. This is outright outrageously hillarious, and simultaneously screwed up. I checked reviews on the launcher, and almost everyone is saying the exact same thing. I even updated the launcher, just to find the issue worsened (rather than every other boot, it now just crashes my pc every single boot). I am on Windows 11, latest security update.
This is honestly ridiculous to see, and honestly, extremely frustrating.
