Hi,
I've got a few problems with the new launcher I would like to ask about:
- When the launcher opens, it doesn't login automatically like the old launcher did. It asks everytime which account to use and brings up the xbox pop-up
- I keep getting "Oh no! Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services" (it is also asking me to buy the game) when the old launcher is working perfectly fine. (try again does not work, neither does a PC restart)
- Custom installations (in my case, Fabric and OptiFine) are not showing up in the launcher.
- Why is the launcher so difficult to install? I understand this isn't a Mojang problem, more a Microsoft problem, but I feel this information would still be useful to have. To upgrade from the old launcher, you open the old launcher and click "Download it now!". You then get brough to the web browser, which then takes you to the Microsoft store. The first option shown is then "Buy with Game Pass" and the second option is open xbox app. Then, you are brought to the Xbox App, where the first option is again "Buy with Game Pass for PC" and the second option is finally install for free.
- As my workaround at the minute is to use the old launcher, is there anyway to turn off the "You have a new, upgraded version of the Launcher installed." popups, to make it easier to use?
- Why can't the old and new launcher operate side by side?
- Sometimes when I try to open the new launcher it refuses to open.
