When opening the minecraft launcer (doesn't matter whether opening from the taskbar, windows search or program file) it only ever opens after a restart. If I close the application and try to reopen it after a restart, it simply does not open. I have checked task manager to see if its started in the background but nothing comes up. 

Once I restart my computer it allows the app to be opened but once in the minecraft launcher no instance of the game opens. The loading bar appears and finalises but then no game opens. If I try to click play again it says the game is already when no instance is open, in the background or otherwise.
