Launcher will not restart if it has been closed, without restarting the computer

      What I expected to happen was...:
      clicking on the Minecraft launcher causes Minecraft to open.

      What actually happened was...:
      If I have played and closed Minecraft, nothing happens if I click on the launcher icon again.  I must restart the MacBook in order to open Minecraft launcher again.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Open Minecraft.
      2. Quit Minecraft.
      3. Attempt to open Minecraft again.
