I cannot get Minecraft to launch with my NVidia 780M GPU. My laptop uses NVidia Optimus technology. There is no switch in BIOS to turn off integrated graphics, nor do I want to turn it off. I set both Minecraft and Javaw.exe (and yes, even Java.exe, and in BOTH x86 and x64 versions) to launch using the dedicated GPU via NVidia Control Panel, but they don't utilize the NVidia GPU. When I start the Minecraft launcher, the dedicated GPU does come on for a second (when the console shows the background processes such as updates, etc), but once it shows the Tumblr Page (or whatever), the dedicated GPU turns off. Even if I hit "play", the NVidia GPU never initializes. In the Snooper, I see it only uses the Intel drivers for Open GL.

I think it's an issue with the launcher... I noticed during the console load up, it unpacks launcher.pack, and then executes launcher.jar... After the execution of launcher.jar, the Dedicated GPU led turns off...

EDIT: x86 Version of Java WORKS with NVidia Optimus... x64 Version of Java DOES NOT WORK with NVidia Optimus!

EDIT 2: Fixed in NVidia Driver Update Version: 331.65 WHQL.

What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft to open using NVidia GPU

      What actually happened was...:
Shoddy coding from both Mojang and NVidia...

      Steps to Reproduce:
      None needed. Pretty obvious.
