So I was trying to install minecraft to my D: drive instead of my C: drive so I did the logical thing and made new profile with the installation directory on the D: drive like so:
However I going crazy trying to find the jar as it is nowhere in the .minecraft folder specified:
More investigation lead to me finding the where on C: minecraft is by default and low and behold every time I try to install to D: even If I delete the entire folder it will always put the jar back here:
