Minecraft Launcher Crashes with Error Code 11

    •  Linux Mint, Java 11, HP Notebook Laptop, (Probably not relevant, but might as well put it) downloaded Minecraft launcher from the official site, not from the software store.

       So I'm trying to run Minecraft Java Edition on my laptop with the Linux Mint Cinnamon 20 OS running Java 11. Every time I open Minecraft 1.8.9 or any other version under 1.12.2, it auto crashes. 

       For some reason, the logs don't say what happened, they just say that I opened Minecraft and it crashed with error code 11.

      I put version 1.6.93 but it wouldn't allow me to list any other version and the question was required. 1.6.93 isn't relevant to anything here.

      Also, I'm really new to Linux so I'm not that great at it, but I know the basics of the OS.

      Any help?
