I recently uninstalled Minecraft Java Edition due to me not playing it anymore but since a friend of mine got it recently, I installed it again. I tried to install the launcher again but it crashes at the "Updating Java Runtime: Cleaning up" phase of it. I tried numerous times of uninstalling and reinstalling both Minecraft Java Edition and Java itself but there has been no good outcome. It shows Minecraft Launcher has been installed but it does not open up or anything of the sort.

Any help will do, this has been frustrating and it'd be a waste of money since I bought both Minecraft bedrock and java edition only for java edition not to work.
