Minecraft got an update to its launcher, but I don't like the way it looks and wish to go back to the previous version. Lucky for me, there's a beta version you can activate in the settings! I clicked it and restarted my launcher, happy that the developers preserved this for people who want it, only to find that absolutely nothing changed.
I tried so many things to get it to work, and always had the same result; nothing happens. I know the preference is active because the check mark appears there and stays when I open and close the launcher. This is likely a small bug, but I wanted to bring attention to it since many people like me prefer the nostalgic, older look of the game and launcher.
I don't expect this would be difficult to fix, so just please give it some attention. I also want to include that I'm using an apple computer (MacBookPro), which is often related to my problems online...
