I keep trying to change my skin and when I try there's no skin until I select one from the skin folder I have that contains the skins I have downloaded to choose a different one, but when I launch into a world or server after trying to change my skin, my skin is Steve as if I never changed it.

What I expected to happen was...:
my skin should appear and change as normal.

What actually happened was...:
I tried to change my skin and it was blank before changing it, and when I attempted to change it it said it was changed, but when I load into a world or server it shows my skin as Steve as if I never changed it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launched the launcher

2. Clicked the skins tab

3. Blank skin
