When playing local co-op on Nintendo Switch, everytime when entering a level, in the difficulty-selection screen, I can't change the difficulty.

The game says to press SR or SL to make it harder or easier, selecting different levels of Apocalypse+. However, every time I do so it changes the level I selected, instead of the difficulty.

This bug has been on Switch for the last months and Mojang still hasn't done anything..
