I launch the game, everything seems fine, and the sound is present in the game for a short while then suddenly the sound disappears and doesn't return again. If I restart the game it does, but I don't even get to play one mission before the sound disappears in the middle of the mission. 

I just hear the sound of interference in my headphones and the sound is gone. 

I'm not really sure what to do, I saw a Youtube video where the person said to install DirectX but I don't feel comfortable listening to advice from only one person tbh.
