I crashed after creating a new character and trying to join my friends lobby before doing the tutorial, but a "ghost" version of my account remained in the lobby despite the crash. They kicked my ghost, but ended up having to restart the lobby to allow me to join, as the ghost remained visible to me, leaving me unable to join, even though it had been removed for everyone else.
