Sometimes my character will start moving in a seemingly random direction rather than the direction I click. even without any obstacles in the way. In this instance it keeps going away from the objective marker. If I click once rather than holding down the mouse button it will start moving in the opposite direction then turn and go the way I clicked. If I make it to the objective in this state the objective doesn't spawn and I can't finish the level. This is on soggy swamp during the Find the Cauldron objective.

Upon further investigation it always moves down and to the right. and only if I move past this objective marker.
