    • Bedrock version I believe. It's not Xbox One edition, it's just Minecraft on Xbox

Guys I have nothing, and I do mean Nothing but good things to say about Minecraft. I just spent a week playing with my little brother and we're quite immersed, we've been playing it exclusively. I beat the Ender Dragon for the first time since I started playing the very first Xbox 360 version and with an iron sword, a bow and maybe a stack of arrows (I didn't know you had to fight the dragon to get to the End, I genuinely thought you had to go find him once you got there). I have found some diamond, enough for us to have and repair some tools while we wear iron but we're not rolling in them by any means. I had my entire kit on me, my first shulker box, a dragon head that I was geeking out about as a twenty seven year old fully grown man, and the holy grail of everything, the very first and only set of elytra I have ever had in survival (I have a ten or eleven year old map that my friends and I have been working on in creative since we were literally kids). I have been so deliberate and capable throughout all of this, haven't even looked anything up the entire playthrough because I wanted to learn and progress organically, feel like I earned it, I wanted to figured it out on my own. I've flown the elytra, I flew the entire way back to the End to go explore some more. I flew into a corner next to the return portal and it instantly killed me unlike my experience flying with them already. Okay, not necessarily mad about that, I did fly into an unyielding surface at terminal velocity, it's not illogical that hitting it literally headfirst would be fatal. You can imagine how fast I sprinted back to the portal, I was there in maybe three minutes. Every. Single. Thing. In my inventory was gone, all of it had disappeared. I've seen that inventory disappears now when it's dropped, which is understandable. But how fast it all disappeared is absolutely ***ing ridiculous. I'm keeping my cool here because you guys have been nothing but amazing since you even got started, but DUDE- THERE WAS A PAIR OF THE CHORUS FRUIT STILL BOBBING FROM MY FIRST TRIP TO THE END TWO DAYS AGO. WHAT THE HELL?! Guys, I know you lose everything in lava, that's why I take special care. I know you'll lose everything if I fall between the islands here in the End, that's why I have taken extra special care not to. I have died twice since I started a over a week ago and I explore everywhere, I'm no shut-in but I'm very precise and I'm very careful. Now again, with nothing but love to one of the only real people companies out there, if my kit disappears seconds after I die one more FATHER***ING TIME, I'm going to LOSE IT. Don't know if it's a bug or design choice but it needs to be addressed, especially when some dropped stuff has the classic Minecraft despawn timer of a year and a half but my hard earned kit has the timer of a fish flopping around on dry land. PLEASE guys, please.
