Spectating a mob leaves you at two blocks tall view

      When you spectate a mob that is taller/shorter than the two blocks tall view we get as players, it will still, regardless, put you in that view height. For example, if you're spectating an enderman you'll be looking out from their legs, and spectating a spider will have you looking out from above them.
