I am not sure at which point this was changed, but it used to be that if I entered a portal facing south I would still be facing south when I entered the Nether. Same goes for the other directions, west to west etc.

Now when I enter a portal I'm always facing the wrong direction after teleporting.

It's only a small issue but it's a pet peeve of mine as I always lined my portals up perfectly to get the best view as I change dimensions. Now I just end up staring into the wall of the portal.
