&lt;p&gt;The problem is with the wifi.  &lt;br/&gt;
Turning wifi off: the game loads fine.  &lt;br/&gt;
With wifi on: it freezes.  &lt;br/&gt;
You can turn multiplayer off in MCPE, but it will still freeze if wifi is turned on.&lt;/p&gt;
