[MCPE-6171] Since 0.7.3 game stopped working on razr I with JB

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

Until 0.7.2 the game worked just fine, but when 0.7.3 was released, I wasn't able to play it anymore. The game starts, but when I try to create a world or enter a previous one, game simply closes without even giving any kind of error. It only happened to me after version 0.7.3, I used a backup soft to recover 0.7.2 and it works perfectly.

I saw someone increasing on youtube the VM heap of the phone, and using a lot of apps to free RAM, who apparently made it 0.8.1 version work, and some other people too, though it didn't work for me. Maybe it's a problem with the way memory is handled.

Also, it only seems to affect Motorola Razr I (XT890) while using Jelly Bean (4.1) Android version, but it didn't seem to happen with Ice Cream Sandwitch (4.0), though I can't fully confirm that.

Such an effort in doing something so useless as insisting on duplicates. Why don't you go and do something actually useful. Because if you think this is a duplicate of a completely different problem in a different device, you really are less smart than you look.

Anyway it doesn't really matter, I don't think Mojang or their friends making MCPE care about specific problems with specific devices, since I haven't seen any report like this one assigned to someone or actually being viewed by them. Too bad but I guess we can always get survivalcraft, which is getting better and works in this device in its latest version.
</comment>

                            <comment id="131341" author="ardescos" created="Tue, 14 Jan 2014 17:21:50 +0100"  >
<del>MCPE-208</del> describes problems on "Device: iOS - iPod Touch" and mentions iPhones / iPads -> Android devices are not even mentioned in <del>MCPE-208</del>.
By the way the RAZR I might even differ from other android devices because of the x86 processor and the compatibility environment it starts some applications in. So the specific information about the affected device might be relevant.

<del>MCPE-208</del> describes "show the Mojang logo for a few seconds and then crash" this absolutely never happens on the RAZR I.

<del>MCPE-208</del> describes "once I click Start Game my world selection appears and then the game freezes" this also never happens on the RAZR I.

On the RAZR I the game crashes and not freezes. Specifically the game crashes while loading / creating a world and not freezes while in the world selection screen.

My reason for not seeing this ticket as a duplicate is not only because it is related to an other mobile platform but the completely different behaviour and location of the crashing. Additionally I would say "freezing" means not the same as "crashing" in this case.
</comment>
                            <comment id="131337" author="luisrobles" created="Tue, 14 Jan 2014 16:41:14 +0100"  >
Both issues are talking that cant play because the game closes, no matter which device is affected, the problem is the issue that is affecting some devices. Check this on <del>MCPE-208</del>:
" ...but once I click Start Game my world selection appears and then the game freezes and needs to be reopened."
What you said was:
"...with JB installed and always crashing exactly after world selection or creation."

Indeed, its a duplicate of <del>MCPE-208</del>, just comment on that report that is affecting that devices too, no need to create the same report with a different device.
</comment>
                            <comment id="131336" author="ardescos" created="Tue, 14 Jan 2014 16:35:07 +0100"  >
Forgot to mention it: this ticket is still valid for version 0.8.1 alpha.
</comment>
                            <comment id="131335" author="ardescos" created="Tue, 14 Jan 2014 16:29:20 +0100"  >
Imho <del>MCPE-208</del> is not even related with this ticket. It mentions different devices and describes a completely different behavior. This is specifically about the RAZR I with JB installed and always crashing exactly after world selection or creation. It also did not effect 4.0 on the RAZR I or older versions of MCPE on the RAZR I. I suffer exactly the same crashes on my RAZR I and could also reproduce the other details the ticket creator mentioned in his description of that bug.
</comment>
