You're arguing against something that's clearly done by design, and is done in the "canonical" way. If it were to be changed, can you imagine all the bug reports that would flood in because cacti are no longer damaging drops?

If you really wanted this, you'd probably have to make a great case for why cactus should behave differently in PE than they do in PC... I don't see it happening, because I don't see any potential justification there, but YMMV.
</comment>
                            <comment id="10649" author="troyp" created="Fri, 28 Sep 2012 06:57:04 +0200"  >
I never said Cactus shouldn't hurt humans/monsters/animals, that should be the case. I said they shouldn't damage dropped items/cactus.
The reason why I don't completely chop the entire cactus is because I want it to continue growing another 2 pieces.
</comment>
                            <comment id="10648" author="do" created="Thu, 27 Sep 2012 21:36:06 +0200"  >
Why not just chop them from the bottom?

I think cactus are supposed to play the role of your typical "spikes" game element, don't see a reason to nerf them...

Chopping a cactus and losing the chopped portion which lands inside the cactus just defeats the whole purpose, and to lose ALL your items if you happen to die is just plain cruel.
</comment>
