Slimes spawning in a slime chunk, without lighting: (Actually 4 adjacent slime chunks)
<comment id="400477" author="thekapm" created="Sun, 20 Aug 2017 06:52:58 +0200" >
I have seen them spawn in swamps. They spawn during a full moon. But I believe the spawn mechanics for slime chunks and swamps are different. I messed around in creative mode with a slime chunk and the only time I've gotten them to spawn is with platforms of stone (I've tried cobblestone, quartz, and iron blocks, but I haven't tried dirt). It has to have no sky access, and the spawns are better (but still horid) if there is a layer of water at level 62 (sea level). And there cannot be any light source or they won't spawn.
</comment>
