Update by Mega_Spud:
The texture of the held item is bugged or missing, see screenshots.

Notes:
Can affect clocks and compasses in Item Frames too.
Tested using Classic UI on OnePlus One A0001 on Android 6.0.1 and on Samsung TabPro SM-T520 on Android 4.4.2, both on the 1.1.3.1 beta.

The bug also affected Pocket UI.

Original Description:
The Compass Don't indicate my spawn point, and i cant see the compass in my hand

It just gets more and more common. Also apparently going to the The nether sometimes fixes it (not always) and that on multiplayer, while it may look broken to the player holding it, it seems fine to another player.

I also note that a checkered pink and yellow, or a blue and green is the most common corrupt texture I have seen.

</comment>

I have to get the angle just right in 3rd Person Front View or go into the inventory in the Classic UI to see all of it. It's quite funny in my opinion, yet it works fine in the hotbar even when being held.
</comment>
                            <comment id="395612" author="handlbar.rick@comcast.net" created="Wed, 26 Jul 2017 05:37:22 +0200"  >
I have been seeing this in Windows 10 Edition (1.1.4) as well. Today, after several IRL days of the texture being wrong, it came back to normal and has been fine all day. But I also noticed today that the item frames and maps on my largest map wall were gone. The map wall happens to be on a chunk boundary, and the clock is in a neighboring chunk. Yesterday I went on a long journey, far enough to cause these chunks to unload, and when they were reloaded the item frames probably popped off due to <del>MCPE-11477</del> and they and my maps despawned before I noticed. I mention this because it suggests that reloading the chunk fixed the clock/compass texture problem, which might be a clue to the devs about what causes it.
</comment>
                            <comment id="395588" author="smashrookie" created="Wed, 26 Jul 2017 00:25:18 +0200"  >
Yes, this actually occasionally happens to me, too. It just happens randomly for some strange reason.
</comment>

Clocks and compasses perfectly work in the hotbar/inventory and dropped, though.

(Windows 10 Edition)

Example of dropped.

Example of holding.

This may be a rendering problem, though.
My old Toshiba laptop doesn't have this problem.
Produced on a Dell Inspiron 15-7579.
</comment>

                            <comment id="394888" author="electro byte" created="Thu, 20 Jul 2017 14:43:48 +0200"  >
Jason the wolf was red because I was using a texture pack. But I do have a lot more screen shots. Matter a fact, all you have to do is just craft a compass or a clock in survival mode, and there is that bug, also, despite fact th clocks go haywire in the nether, apparently the corrupt texture goes hay wire too. It's messed up seeing pixels just going crazy.

I even notice that overtime, (game time) that the pixels one by one eventually disappears, I never observed it disappearing completely but they disappear"
</comment>

Texture missing or something.
</comment>
