[MCPE-20298] My 1.0.5 beta update is not reading any world saves and will not generate a new world

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

Upon opening Minecraft PE my world saves are not showing and when I try to generate a new random world I get a notification that the world cannot be loaded. I am using a ZTE Z981. I backed up my world saves and uninstalled and reinstalled but that did not fix the issue
//

Suggested fix by DrAwesome4333
To fix this issue (of missing saves), go to settings, profile, and change save location to external.

Did this. Worlds did not show up. Generated new world. Saved it. In File Manager moved worlds to where the new world was saved. All worlds came up in app. But all work done in the survival world is GONE. This really sucks. Hours and hours spent to build stuff, just gone because of an update that messed up Minecraft!
</comment>

My profile has never been changed from application storage (I have no external storage). But the existing worlds are gone. New worlds are not being created in the same location in the file system. Changing the storage location does not resolve problem. This may be a separate issue from those who cannot create new worlds.

After the update all of my worlds in the list are gone. Profile was never changed and shows application storage. Using file explorer I verified the worlds are still in their normal location on my phone (pixel/nougat). Tried creating a new world but it does not appear in the file system. The storage location for game save data appears to have moved but existing worlds were not transferred.
</comment>

I couldn't see any of my worlds.
My server list also reset.
I checked my Worlds folder, and luckily, all my worlds were there.

This seems like a pretty urgent bug!

Edit:
Motorola Moto G Third Generation
Android 6.0.1

Edit 2:
Compared my phones specs to the ZTE Z981
The main thing I could see the same was the Operating System being the same (Android 6.0)

Edit 3:
I am also unable to create a world, saying, "My World" can not be opened.
</comment>
