[MCPE-19916] Crashing Upon Opening Inventory In Windows 10

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

Hello. I have ran into the same problem. I was in the Nether and was killed by some Blazes (no surprise there). Anyways, I spawned back into the house beside my bed as normal but when I opened up the inventory to start crafting equipment again, the game force closed. I tried changing the keybind to different keys and even uninstalled Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and the problem still persisted on the realm. I know I don't have a reproduction map written down, but I'm not entirely sure how to do make one. But below is a link to the Minecraft Realms world in which the problem occurs.

This is caused by some form of invalid item getting saved in your inventory. Issues such as these should be fixed in a future release (no specific date can be provided).
</comment>

I never realized just how much I relied on opening my inventory until this happened to me. I'm also back to playing with friends again which is the best thing about Minecraft. Hopefully they can look into it and fix the issue so it doesn't occur again. Happy Crafting Dorothy!
</comment>

I works! I just drowned myself and now everything works again. WOOT!!!

I also just refreshed to all my defaulted keys. Thank you so much!
</comment>
                            <comment id="357634" author="lunar39" created="Sun, 5 Feb 2017 19:36:07 +0100"  >
Dorothy, I fixed mine last night! After exhausting all other options I finally thought of something unconventional that I hadn't tried yet: killing myself. So as night fell I walked outside and found a brave looking skeleton archer. Well I just stood there playing chicken with his arrows. Oddly enough, after the skeleton archer had killed me, my inventory worked great again.

So, my recommendation would be to kill your character in some way, shape or form to see if that fixes the problem. I wonder if there was a corruption in the respawn. I hope this helps you!
</comment>
                            <comment id="357631" author="brokenspore3360" created="Sun, 5 Feb 2017 19:22:05 +0100"  >
(duplicated comment from thread MCPE19351) I have the exact issue Cody Hall just described when I try to play in my friend's world. I also was killed in the Nether, then suddenly unable to access my inventory. Please help with a fix! Windows 10 version.

I tried to do a crash report but it wouldn't let me submit - don't know why. Also tried generating the forced crash. It didn't seem to work. F3+c (and tried F3+C) held them both for 30 seconds... no crash report text file generated.

I remapped the shortcut key (as Cody also tried): same result.

In my personal non-realm world, the inventory is accessible like normal, this only happens when I play in a Realm.

I cannot re-armor myself, I can carry a chest in my hotkey bar, place it, then use it to open and view my inventory. This is the only way I can access my inventory without crashing the game in a Realm.
</comment>
