[MCPE-14828] Opening Container GUI Rearranges Hotbar

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

Update by Mega_Spud:
Summary:
Interacting with a container / block entity whilst using the PE ui setting will rearrange the items in the hotbar, moving items out of the player's main inventory.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have some clear spaces in the hotbar
2. Open a container (furnace, tamed horse, hopper etc)
3. Notice items have moved into the gaps in the hotbar

Expected Results:
The hotbar should not be changed unless the player places items into it, or collects dropped items.

Screenshots/Videos attached: Yes

Notes:

List of block entities

Affects horse inventories

Original Description:
blocks back to itembar when we open horse inventory !! for more information see the screenshot.

EDIT: Forgot to add that it happens when opening any Chest. I haven't tested in creative mode so that might be working fine.
</comment>

                            <comment id="381602" author="jerrydbuy1" created="Fri, 5 May 2017 20:45:37 +0200"  >
The resolved comment indicates we'll see the fix in the 1.1.x update, so you shouldn't expect to see it in 1.0.8 (nor, probably, in any further 1.0.x updates). 1.1 betas are moving right along, though, so you probably won't have to wait too much longer.
</comment>
                            <comment id="381600" author="rburgett" created="Fri, 5 May 2017 20:27:52 +0200"  >
This issues is still not fixed in latest version 1.0.8. At first I thought it was but after playing for a bit on 'Pocket UI' the problem has come back. I have updated all of my devices and the problem remains. The worst part is that some items may disappear (like a diamond enchanted sword that took quite a while to make) Easy to reproduce this issue, as stated above. Playing on windows 10 edition and Android (Samsung Note 3, AT&T) Please fix this issue. The "Classic UI" is not very controller friendly. Also it would be nice if item labels would show while navigating using Pocket UI but please fix the problems before adding anything new! I love the ui for xbox and it would be great if you could implement that UI on pocket edition.
</comment>
                            <comment id="380770" author="rburgett" created="Sun, 30 Apr 2017 18:02:31 +0200"  >
I made an account just to report this issue.
Please fix, i have this problem on my Fire TV Stick (i know) and my Note3. Windows 10 does it sometimes too. Very frustrating to try and play like this.
</comment>
                            <comment id="380692" author="siroscarious" created="Sun, 30 Apr 2017 03:26:15 +0200"  >
jamino is correct that the bug is not fixed for 1.0.7.0, but I imagine that it will be fixed in the future. I have no experience in programming whatsoever, so I can't really accuse Mojang of anything. The problem affects me as well. Do your items in your inventory clone themselves, but do not actually increase in amount? This takes up valuable space in my hotbar.
</comment>
                            <comment id="380679" author="jamino" created="Sun, 30 Apr 2017 00:41:56 +0200"  >
can confirm on 1.0.7 its not fixed - very frustrating - its first appeared with horse / mule inventories, now its all over! almost every chest you open rearranges your hotbar - mojang, are you even testing your builds?
</comment>
                            <comment id="379595" author="smeo00" created="Sun, 23 Apr 2017 22:58:45 +0200"  >
@Eric, yes not fixed in mainline yet but is now fixed in 1.1.x beta builds.
The fix should be with you soon on next IoS release I would think.
</comment>
                            <comment id="379457" author="zerominer" created="Sun, 23 Apr 2017 01:59:13 +0200"  >
This bug is clearly reproducible on iOS (both iPhone and IPad latest version) MCPE version 1.0.7, 1.0.6, 1.0.5 and it is definitely not fixed.

Create a new survival map with a random seed with Pocket UI (This bug does not happen with Classic UI).
Play about 10min, create a chest and open exchange some items between your inventory and the chest.

Once the chest is closed, your hotbar will be totally mixed up.

1. The mcpe puts random items in the inventory on the hotbar.
2. Same item appears multiple times on the hotbar.

Priority is 0 since whenever user opens chest, hotbar gets messed up and user has to re-add / arrange items on the bar. After playing like a couple of days constantly rearranging hotbar, it gets very annoying and frustrating thinking.

On Windows 10, a similar issue occurs in a less severe way - it places the same item multiple times on the hotbar's open slot.
</comment>
                            <comment id="377814" author="smeo00" created="Thu, 13 Apr 2017 21:22:50 +0200"  >
Unable to reproduce in 1.1.0.3 (was still occuring in 1.1.0.0 and 1.1.0.1)
Have tried chests, horse, furnace, enchanting table.
Looks like a fix,
@Allex Souza and @Jerry Doherty how is it looking for you on 1.1.0.3?
</comment>
                            <comment id="339021" author="jerrydbuy1" created="Sat, 29 Oct 2016 20:14:53 +0200"  >
In 0.16.0 the issue now extends to more than just the horse inventory. It seems that any change of a hotbar item causes the inventory to scramble when the inventory is next viewed through a chest, with the hotbar items becoming the first items in the inventory, and any items they displaced in the inventory order taking the place of the items that moved to the front of the list.
</comment>
                            <comment id="338860" author="jerrydbuy1" created="Sat, 29 Oct 2016 06:49:01 +0200"  >
Still consistently reproducible in 0.16.0, in both iOS and Android. Though the interface has changed (now using the inventory button to open the horse inventory instead of the more obvious look-down-press-Open button) the results are the same: scrambled user inventory. The interface change also has the consequence not allowing the player to change hotbar items while riding - a significant disadvantage over the previous method. In addition, the change has the effect of preventing a rider from leashing the animal before dismounting, as the Leash button now no longer appears when holding a leash and looking down - again, a significant disadvantage over the previous method.
</comment>

When a riding player Opens the horse inventory, the rider's own inventory gets rearranged (the order of the items changes), which then affects the items on the hotbar. It presents a challenging situation when trying to change weapons in the middle of a fight!
</comment>
