[MCPE-14664] There is no quasi connectivity

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

Quasi connectivity (a.k.a <del>MC-108</del>) doesn't exist.

Steps to reproduce :
-Place a piston
-Place two blocks on top of the piston
-Power the top block
-Update the piston
-Notice that the piston doesn't extend.

Pistons ‘forgetting’ blocks is arguably the best feature in pc and I feel bedrock is let down by this. Also not being able to easily build job doors is a massive hit, surely the pistons could be powered through each other with observers (as if one piston was a normal block instead) but this doesn’t happen either. This massively limits the only easy version of Redstone I have
</comment>

However that does not mean that it is an intended feature.
</comment>
                            <comment id="311556" author="kaleb418" created="Wed, 8 Jun 2016 08:31:53 +0200"  >
The devs did. I can't link you to it because it is not a public area where the dev said it. Guys, please realize that us mods DO NOT want to get rid of tickets as fast as possible, neither do we try to. When we resolve a ticket, we are physically telling the devs that the ticket doesn't need attention anymore, and we take that seriously. Yes, we make mistakes sometimes, but please trust our inputs. We aren't inexperienced, we ALL have been playing MCPE long before we became a mod, and we are, generally, correct in what we say.
</comment>

It has finally been confirmed by the developers that the absence of Quasi-connectivity is, in fact, not a bug, and that the new observer block replaces its function.

Kaleb Wasmuth

I'll be fine with this as soon as you give a link to a place where the developers say that.
</comment>

I've tested this on PSVita, PS3, Xbox360, XboxONE, and PC by building the jeb door on all those platforms and it works flawlessly. Its a shame pocket has to miss out on this.
</comment>

Quasi-connectivity is a feature exclusive to the PC edition.
</comment>

Quasi connectivity and BUDs are two different bugs/features. You can make BUDs without QC (e.g stuck piston BUD), and you can use QC without making a BUD (e.g piston monostable). The observer justifies fixing BUDs, but not QC.
</comment>
                            <comment id="309992" author="pronoob135" created="Sat, 4 Jun 2016 02:35:33 +0200"  >
Quasi-connectivity has nothing to do with BUDs, BUDs are just made eaisier with quasi-connectivity. Quasi-connectivity is also used to power pistons in a MUCH simpler and smaller way, for example in a duel dpe you would only need 3 connections to power 6 pistons, but without quasi-connectivity each piston has to be powered separately. Also is the popular piston monostable, witch must be made wider in order to function without qc. Flying machines make for a whole category in themselves.
</comment>
                            <comment id="309975" author="JIRAUSER71590" created="Sat, 4 Jun 2016 00:27:49 +0200"  >
Because the observer is littirally a bud, the budded pistons was a bug and the behaviour has been replaced by the observer, need any more justification?
</comment>
                            <comment id="309971" author="kaleb418" created="Sat, 4 Jun 2016 00:21:23 +0200"  >
Works as Intended wasn't the resolution, the Invalid resolution was chosen by a [Mod].
</comment>
                            <comment id="309968" author="azelef" created="Sat, 4 Jun 2016 00:17:24 +0200"  >
That's sad . But how does adding the observer justify removing quasi connectivity ? And why is this "invalid" if it works as intended ?
and will PE and PC ever have the same piston mechanics ?
