            <title>[MCPE-14641] Messed-up generation of strongholds under villages and closing crashing MCPE</title>

                    <description>&lt;p&gt;In villages, when there has been a stronghold under the well in previous versions, now the part of the well above ground is replaced by a staircase. Digging underground reveals that the stronghold itself is gone.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&apos;ve attached a couple of screenshots of the seed &quot;root&quot;. One is what it looks like in 0.14.3 on Win10; the second is what it looks like in 0.15.0 in PE.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I haven&apos;t confirmed if this applies to strongholds which are not under villages&lt;/p&gt;

    1.These seed also affected by this bug: 707196389,-1514063022,FINAL,village pls(someone had already reported about the FINAL seed and the village pls seed in the issues, but I just want to let you know about these seed)&lt;br/&gt;
    2.In the seed 707196389,-1514063022,the village that contain the glitch stronghold is far from the spawn point. You&apos;ll have to find those:&lt;br/&gt;
      2.1.In the seed 707196389,you have to find a desert village near a (savanna village? or the plain one? I can&apos;t remember;I just know that it&apos;s near a village).  The desert village&apos;s well is where the stronghold should be.&lt;br/&gt;
      2.2.In the seed -1514063022,all you have to do is go to the desert near the savanna near the spawn point.From the desert temple, going around the desert(ignore the desert village near the temple,below the well is just a cave, nothing else).Do it,you&apos;ll see some village around or in the desert. Dig down the well of any village you found. You&apos;ll see the glitch stronghold. If you are patient, you&apos;ll found 2 glitch stronghold, not just one. According to MCWiki, a MCPE world have 3 stronghold, so this is surely a big problem. &lt;br/&gt;
      2.3.You have to be very patient, because it takes a few minutes ,or even 30 minutes to find those.&lt;br/&gt;
    3.The first time I created the seed 707196389,the glitch stronghold was above the well, replaced the top of the well.The second time, the glitch stronghold was &quot;teleported&quot; to the bedrock! I don&apos;t know if you believe this or not, but there is one thing true: I have seen that happen.I have tried many time, but the result is still the same as the second time.&lt;br/&gt;
    4.These seed still crash when leaving world.&lt;br/&gt;
*I&apos;m using an OPPO Neo 7,Android 5.1,ColorOS V2.1.0i;I bought MCPE directly from Google Play Store, no mod or resource pack added, no Xbox account.If you can reproduce these, please reply. If you can&apos;t, feel free to tell me.Maybe those thing occured in my &lt;br/&gt;

However, if you stay around the area where the stronghold should be(i.e. close enough that the rest should be generated) and then leave the area, the game will not crash. However, when you leave the world, it will crash.&lt;/p&gt;</comment>

&lt;p&gt;A world generated in creative will not be affected by this bug as far as I can tell, although only the shaft is generated underground - the rest of the stronghold is missing. However, survival is still fully affected. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The game also crashes when saving the world regardless of whether it was generated in creative or survival.&lt;/p&gt;</comment>

Both new and old seeds are created with stronghold stairs instead of wells.  No fortress below stronghold stairs.  Game crashing when exiting to title.  No other issues as far as I can tell. When using same seed on Survival there are no stairs on well.  Did some exploring on Survival and found no fortress below town so far only abandoned mine. Games still crashes on both games types when you exit onto title.  &lt;/p&gt;</comment>

I understand that there are a few other issues that seem very important and again thanks for all the work you guys are doing. The reason why I see this is such a major issue is that if a world generated while this bug is in place will have to be deleted once you fix it. Say for example I start a new world and spend hours playing and ignore that there is no strongholds. Then in a few months of building the world and hours of play you bring in the end to the game. My world will be of no use as there will be know way to get to the end as no strongholds will be available. Yes there is no crash and yes you can still play MCPE but playing with Survival and Achievements there is no use if in the end there is no way to get to it. &lt;/p&gt;</comment>

It causes frequent crashing, not to mention eliminates one of the best sources for saddles and other loot. Any worlds that get the glitched stronghold loaded will start crashing on exit and occasionally when the world is loaded. Still affects 0.15.1 build 1 on Android. Any world that gets the glitched fortress will almost certainly have to be restarted after the fix, so the bug holds up development on one of my favorite seeds.&lt;/p&gt;</comment>

&lt;p&gt;Create a new world with seed 3506402 or 228529541 as examples of seeds where you spawn right beside a village that, in previous versions, had a stronghold directly beneath the well.  Seems the stronghold is generating as a staircase on top of the well.  That is to say, the stone staircase has replaced the wood fencing and stone roof of the well and there is no stronghold structure beneath the well. &lt;/p&gt;</comment>
