[MCPE-14331] Gates are aligning wrong after being fine when placed.

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

When I place a gate it is aligned with the fence perfectly. When I come back later the fence appears to be lifted, but still function normally. I searched but found only an issue for the Java version saying this is normal. I thought maybe this is not as intended here being that the gates are normal when placed.

One more thing, the gate in the first picture I posted (with the sand in the background) is facing North/South and the gate in the second picture (not the Dark Oak) is facing East/ West. As far as I remember, and i'm pretty sure, they were fine when I placed them.
</comment>
                            <comment id="304467" author="kaleb418" created="Fri, 13 May 2016 22:00:39 +0200"  >
This issue duplicates MCPE-5966. Please perform a search next time to make sure your bug hasn't already been reported.
</comment>
                            <comment id="304415" author="mega_spud" created="Fri, 13 May 2016 11:37:30 +0200"  >
I think this has been mentioned before, and mistakenly marked as WAI: <del>MCPE-5966</del>

The gate changes height depending on the direction you are facing when you open it. For example, facing North, the gate stays at the correct level when you open and close it. Face south, and the gate jumps up to the wrong height when you open it, and stays at that height until you break the gate or the wall to which it's attached. (Tested on Win 10 0.14.2)

edit: the gate changes height when you face in the OPPOSITE direction that you were facing when you placed it.
</comment>
                            <comment id="304404" author="spaceman" created="Fri, 13 May 2016 06:36:45 +0200"  >
No, don't know how to specifically replicate it, they were aligned fine when I placed them, then after some time I came back and they were out of line as pictured. If I remember right, it happened after the chunk was unloaded and then reloaded, and now they are stuck that way. I will load it up tonight or tomorrow and see if the specific ones I posted are still like this. Thanks for the reply.

Just curious, are you trying to doing this on the mobile PE or the Win 10 Beta? I mean, I don't know if there is REALLY a difference, just curious.

I will do some testing for you. To be specific, this was done in survival. I have yet to load up creative.
</comment>

Try it for yourself.
</comment>

This is happening because the fence gate alone is elevated off the ground more than with regular fences.However it is not meant to join up yo cobblestone walls.
</comment>
